Study Tips
  • The LSAT has around 99-102 multiple-choice questions spread across four scored sections, plus one unscored experimental section. So yes, it’s a surprise fifth wheel you didn’t ask for.

  • You’ll get about 3 hours of actual testing time, not including the breaks and the lovely pre-test check-in process. Think of it as a movie marathon, except the plot is logic puzzles and reading passages.

  • The LSAT is all about logic games (officially called Analytical Reasoning), Logical Reasoning (your argument skills), and Reading Comprehension (dense passages that make you question your life choices). Writing is separate but mandatory.

  • Trick question. There’s no “pass/fail.” Scores range from 120-180, and law schools each have their own idea of what’s “good enough.” Translation: check your target school’s stats and aim high.

  • The LSAT is now primarily taken online at home with remote proctoring. Yes, you can take it in your pajamas. Just maybe not the pizza-stained ones.

  • As of now, the LSAT costs $222 for the exam itself. Extra fees apply for score reports and other services. It’s basically law school’s cover charge.

  • You’ll sign up through your LSAC.org account. Pro tip: don’t wait until the last minute. Seats and test windows can fill up faster than a free pizza party.

  • The LSAT is offered multiple times a year, usually monthly from about August through June. It’s like concert tour dates, except the headliner is “logic.”

  • Nope. No bachelor’s degree required to sit for the LSAT, but since it’s a law school entrance exam, most people are already in the college-to-law pipeline.

  • Yes. You can take it up to 3 times in one testing year, 5 times within 5 years, and 7 times in your lifetime. So you’ve got multiple shots at glory.

  • Not really in the U.S. The LSAT is the go-to for most law schools. Some schools also accept the GRE, but the LSAT is still the gold standard if you’re serious about law school.

  •  We’re sorry to see you go, and if you’ve already passed your exam, congratulations! 🎉
